A 28-year-old man, Julius Yakubu, was on Thursday arraigned in an Ota Magistrates’ Court in Ogun for allegedly stealing N57,000.
Yakubu, who resides at No. 16 Oriyomi St., Iyana-Ilogbo, Ota, is facing a charge of stealing.
The prosecutor, Sgt. Chudu Gbesi, told the court that the defendant committed the offence on April 4, at about 6.00.p.m at Bells Area, Ota.
He said that the accused stole N57,000 belonging to one Mabel Ohimaamhe.
The prosecutor said that the offence contravened Section 390(9) of the Criminal Code Vol. 1, Laws of Ogun, 2006.
The accused, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge.
The Senior Magistrate, Mr S. O. Banwo, granted him bail in the sum of N100,000, with two sureties in like sum.
