Mark @ 71: Tasks political class to mentor new leaders

Former Senate President, David Mark has called on the people of Agatu to stop fighting each other and
embrace peace, saying peace is sine qua-non to development.
Mark, who made the call during a thank you tour at Obagaji, headquarters of Agatu Local Government
Area yesterday, thanked the people for the support given to him which has made him the longest
serving senator in the country.
He said his love for the people of Agatu remains undiluted, stressing that when in 1998, he came asking
for their votes, they did not only give him their votes but conferred on him the highest chieftaincy title
of the land, Ogakwu.
The thank you tour of the distinguished senator will be extended to the remaining eight local
government areas of Idoma land and it is billed to end next Saturday.
