The Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra, MASSOB, has revealed the very reason why Igbo senators led by Deputy Senate president, Ike Ekweremadu and Igbo caucus leader, Enyinnaya Abaribe, visited President Buhari.

According to a release from Innocent Igbo, personal assistant to MASSOB leader, Uchenna Madu, the delegation met with President Buhari because of the political, economical and infrastructural decay including the plight of the Ndigbo in Nigeria as well as the release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and other pro Biafra agitators in Nigerian prisons.

“This sudden political move of Igbo senators to President Buhari is a welcome development even though Buhari may not easily harken to their pleas because of his anti Igbo policies.

“Igbo senators suddenly woke up because of our leader’s ultimatum during celebration of 83rd posthumous birthday of Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu (Eze Igbo Gburugburu) at MASSOB headquarters, Okwe on 4th Nov. that if Igbo political, Religious, Traditional, Economical and Opinion leaders fail to rise up against the oppressions, subjections and anti Igbo policies of President Buhari against Ndigbo and Igboland including the bias detentions of our brother, Nnamdi Kanu, Chidiebere Onwudiwe, Madubugwu, Benjamin Nwawuisi (IPOB members), Innocent Orji, Sabastine Amadi, Uchenna Nicholas and 17 others (MASSOB members), Benjamin Onwuka and others (BZM members) and effect their release before this year end, MASSOB will commence a native internal revolution against Igbo leaders.
“Our leader, Comrade Uchenna Madu is not on self glorification or praises but has vowed to uphold Ojukwuism in the consciousness of Ndigbo, his zeal and passions for the progress of Ndigbo is being propelled by his love for Biafranism,” the release discloses.

“MASSOB views the continued existence of Political, Traditional, Religious and Opinion leaders as Igbo leaders or representatives without confronting Igbo challenges or rising up in defense of Igbo interest in Nigeria as a disgrace and insult to our ancestors.
“As we acknowledge the Igbo Senators, MASSOB charges Igbo House of Representative Members, Traditional, Religious and opinion leaders to start initiating a positive step towards addressing ‘these menaces against our people.’

“Igbo leaders should stop playing to the political galleries, lip service or political errand for our oppressors. MASSOB shall continue to defend the cause and people of Ndigbo. We will not relent in upholding the vision and mandate of Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu ( Eze Igbo Gburugburu). We have no intention of witch hunting or threatening any Igbo leader as our reformed MASSOB is for the services of Ndigbo but Igbo leaders who directly or indirectly promote or uphold or compliment the anti Igbo policies of President Buhari against Igbo interest will surely face the wrath of our ancestors,” the release states.
