A notorious armed robbery kingpin whose name was given as Emeka Odo alias landlord last Saturday met his waterloo at the hands of angry mob.
The deceased it was gathered, terrorised motorists and inhabitants of Obolloafor in Udenu Local Government Area of Enugu State and its environs.
The angry mob that had identified him pounced on him and gave him fatal beating to the extent that he allegedly pulled a short locally made pistol but was over-powered by the irate mob.
He was in a state of unconsciousness when police operatives arrived the scene, and died on the way to the hospital.
It was further gathered that the suspect has been on the wanted list of the police operatives over his nefarious activities ranging from several reported cases of Armed Robbery within Obolloafor and its environs.
According to police public relations officer, ASP Ebere Amaraizu one locally made pistol with a live cartridge was found on him.
In another development, operatives of the Uwani Division of the Nigeria police force Enugu have nabbed one suspect who gave his name as Edeh Michael. He was caught with a locally made double barrel pistol.
He was nabbed by the eagle eyed operatives of the Division on April 1, 2015 when they were on routine patrol.
Suspect is believed to belong to gang of suspected hoodlums that usually rob people of their belongings within Uwani and environs.
On his part, suspect revealed that he is a member of Bokinafaso confraternity, BF and that he hails from Ndukwe Akpoha in Afikpo Local Government Area of Ebonyi state.
Michael is however helping police in their investigations.
