Ahead of Saturday’s rescheduled gubernatorial elections in Taraba state, His Royal Highness, Eze O.J.C. Anyanwu has called on all Igbos residing in the state to vote for Hajiya Aisha, the only female governorship candidate in the election.
Anyanwu said the unprecedented support Aisha received during the April 11 governorship elections was an indication that she was popular and ready to carry Tarabans to the next level.
The monarch described the guber aspirant as a detribalized Nigerian, whose wealth of experience can change the face of leadership in Nigeria.
He, therefore, urged them to vote for her to guarantee dividend of democracy for all and sundry in the state.
According to Anyanwu, “Vote for Hajiya is a vote for a new Taraba state. Her victory will guarantee change, gender balancing and better generation to come. Hajiya Aisha, popularly called Mama Taraba, is a trusted hand, having exhibited it as civil servant in the court and as a vibrant serving senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
“All voters with PVC in Taraba state should be a part of the history I foresee in Nigeria, the jinx breaking record as the first female elected governor in the country. I encourage more women participation in politics, quality leadership and good governance in Nigeria because our women have fared so well recently.”
