PRESIDING Judge of the Court of Appeal, Illorin Division Hon: Justice Muhammad Ladan Tsamiya who was recently recommended for compulsory retirement yesterday denied recieving bribe from a petitioner. It was earlier yesterday reported by the Nation Newspaper dated Saturday, 1st October 2016 quoted: “NJC Fire Appeal Court Justice over N200 million naira allegation bribery scam. In a statement signed by the Hon Muhammad Ladan Tsamiya copy made available to Nigerian Pilot Correspondent in Sokoto Tuesday, described the allegation as baseless. Justice Tsamiya, said “I was not a member of the panel that determined the appeal as stated in the publication. The statement added saying” in view of the subject matter, I am compelled to appeal to the secretary of NJC to use his good office and call upon your Acting Director of Information to withdraw this portion complained of, who would also call upon the said Newspapers to withdraw the said statement and apologise for false statement. In fact, such publication of the false statement cause serious embarrassement on my person, my family and all my friends within and outside Nigeria as well as the NJC whom it is credited, Justice Tsamiya added.
