Tribunal grants APC order of substituted service on Gov. Emmanuel

All Progressives Congress, APC, candidate for Akwanga/Wamba/Nasarawa-Eggon federal constituency, Dr Muhammad Ya’au, has debunked media report alleging that he sexually assaulted a married woman in return for University admission.

The APC flag bearer made the denial in a statement signed by the Director-General of his campaign organisation, Hon. Innocent Pada and made available newsmen in Lafia, at the weekend.

He described the media report as false, baseless, unfounded, ill-motivated and a calculated attempt by political enemies who were bent on tarnishing his reputation.

He maintained that the claim in the report by a national daily that he was contacted for comment on the alleged sexual assault was false and that as a responsible person he could not have engaged in such activities.

“We would like to put the record straight that, our candidate does not offer admission of any kind and will not have undertaken any action that will undermine the procedures laid down as prerequisite for admission into any university (specially) Nasarawa State University Keffi as he is only mandated by the conditions of service guiding his operations as a reputable and Director of ICT in the University to discharge his responsibilities during his stay in the institution”

He condemned the media report in its entirety and advised his political opponents to device a better campaign strategy to woo supporters rather than resorting to cheap blackmail to malign his character and integrity.

The lawmaker hopeful declared that the unwarranted political gimmick and use of inappropriate language targeted at distracting the attention of thousands of his supporters from the rescue mission will suffer a huge setback as those behind it are frustrated having betrayed the peoples confidence.

“We are not going to be intimidated nor fall prey of the antics of an unrefined and infamous politician whose faith has already been settled in the public court”. The statement maintained.
