NIGER Delta Avengers, NDA, blow up a Chevron Nigeria Limited, CNL, offshore Export Pipeline at Escravos, Warri South-West Local Government Area in Delta State.
In a tweet by NDA spokesperson, self-styled Brig Gen Mudoch Agbinibo, confirmed avengers’ involvement, said: “At about 3:45am, our strike team 06 took down Chevron Escravos export pipeline at Escravos offshore.” It stated:” This action is to further warn all IOCs’ that when we warn that there should be no repairs pending negotiation/dialogue with the people of the Niger Delta, it means there should be no repairs.” “Any attempt to use dialogue to distract us so as to allow the free flow of our oil will halt the dialogue process,” NDA added.

If the federal government is serious on dialogue they would have resolved the issues by now. How can you be using subterfuge and disingenuous ploy to delude the owners of our national wealth under the guise of acceding to dialogue. The Niger Deltans are right in their actions to compel the federal government to accept tacit negotiation.

Whatever means the people of the Niger Delta (ND) region uses to attract attention to their plight is supported. The federal government (FG) thinks it can keep using the same old tactics to deceive and continue to impoverish the region. Those days are gone for good. FG should either dialogue/negotiate or be grounded. They should know that using military might aimed at intimidating ND is no longer a viable option.
