CHAIRMAN, Nigeria Football Federation technical committee, Chris Green has said the football body will offset backlog of eight month salaries owed Super Falcons coach Florence Omagbemi before November 19. Omagbemi who featured in four Women’s World Cups and led the country to winning four African women titles is yet to receive a dime since appointed interim coach in February. She leads Nigeria to this month’s African Women’s Cup of Nations in Cameroon. “It’s been a challenging year for the federation financially but we’re working hard to resolve this before the team departs for Cameroon,” Green told BBC. “Omagbemi has been very calm about it and it has to be sorted out as soon as possible.” The continental women championship is scheduled to hold from November 19 to December 3 and the Super Falcons are zoned in Group B against Mali, Ghana and Kenya.
