The Niger Tornadoes FC of Minna supporters club on Monday appealed to the state government to lift suspension of the teams Technical Adviser (TA) who was suspended recently over alleged anti-club activities.
Recall that Alhaji Adamu Aliyu, chairman of the club management committee announced the suspension of the TA Coach Abdullahi Biffo on Tuesday in Minna.
It was allso reported that the supporters club boycotted Sunday match between Tornadoes and Ifeanyi Uba FC of Nnewi which ended in favour of Tornadoes 2-1 in Lokoja.
Malam Ibrahim Bosso, Secretary of the supporters club made the call during a press briefing in Minna.
“We want Mr Governor Alhaji Abubakar Bello to intervene and lift the suspension of Coach Biffo because he does not deserve it.
“It is true that there is a minor misunderstanding in the technical department of the club which can be resolved amicably.
“Coach Biffo is a man that brought out Tornadoes from relegation in 2014/2015 season back to Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL). So God is with him.
“We may incur the wrath of God if we just sack him for one small mistake which has not been proven. You must hear someone before you judge him,’’ he said.
He explained that the problem facing the technical crew was that they have not been working as a team which can be resolved.
According to him, we tried to tackle the problem with the chairman of the club but he told us that there was no problem only for us to read in newspapers that the TA has been suspended.
“Since Biffo came in from Kogi United in 2015 to Niger state he has not missed a training session or match.’’
