Nigeria’s senior national team maintained their 45th position in the latest FIFA world ranking released yesterday.
The African champions were adjudged the same rank in the world according to the ranking released earlier in April.
The Eagles are now the eight-ranked African side behind Algeria, Cote d’Ivoire, Ghana, Tunisia, Senegal, Cape Verde and Guinea.
Meanwhile Algeria remain at the summit of African football with 917 points which put them in the 20th position in the world while Cote d’Ivoire are second in Africa and ranked 23rd in the world.
The top 17 positions are unaltered from last month, which means that Germany (1st, unchanged) continue to lead the way ahead of Argentina (2nd, unchanged) and Belgium (3rd, unchanged).
The next FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking will be published on 4 June 2015.
