Former Deputy Governor of Plateau State, Dame Pauline Tallen, said she has no regrets dumping the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, for the All Progressives Congress, APC.
It would be recalled that Tallen dumped the then ruling PDP at the twilight of its administration.
“I am thanking God for dumping the PDP at the right time, the lack of
internal democracy and imposition was unbearable, I saw the crack coming in the party.’’
Tallen, who was a former Minister of Science and Technology, said “When I was about leaving the PDP, some of my friends advised me that why would you leave the PDP which was the ruling party then for an opposition party, but I told them that I was following my heart and I am glad that I left the PDP at the right time.’’
Commenting on President Muhammadu Buhari’s one year in office, she said the president had proven that he has what it takes to move Nigeria forward.
“President Buhari has been able to tackle insecurity in the North-Eastern part of the country. He has also reduced the level of corruption. Our president has been able to recover funds that were looted by corrupt office holders.”
Tallen, who is a Papal Knight, called on citizens to support the APC-led government, saying they are determined to better their lives.
