Kaduna State Police Command has debunked speculations making rounds from a media report that a state of emergency have been declared in the state.
A statement from the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Zubairu Abubakar and made available to newsmen in Kaduna yesterday, said there was no such development.
DSP Abubakar who refuted the media report (not Nigerian Pilot) which credited a statement to him that a state of emergency was declared in the state, said the command only changed the security architecture of the State to rid it from the spate of kidnapping.
According to him, “As COMMAND PPRO, I have no jurisdiction or capacity to release any Statement on the exalted office of IGP. The statement is baseless and frivolous and malicious tantamount to tarnish the good image of the command. Kaduna is calm and peaceful,” he stated.
