Desamour Production Company has premiered the much anticipated movie, ‘Ghana Must Go’, in Nigeria.
Produced by the award-winning Ghanaian-Nigerian actress, Yvonne Okoro, the movie will be shown across Nigerian cinemas later this month.
Directed by multiple award winning filmmaker, Frank Rajah, ‘Ghana Must Go’ stars Yvonne Okoro, Ik Ogbonna, Blossom Chukwujekwu, Helen Paul, Ada Ameh and Nkem Owoh a.k.a. Osuofia.
Set in Accra, Ghana, the comedy revolves around two young lovers who are of Nigerian and Ghanaian origin.
Okoro plays the role of Ama, a London based Ghanaian lady who brings her Nigerian boyfriend, Chuks played by Blossom Chukwujekwu, home to meet her parents, resulting in hell being let loose.
Ama’s parents, especially her father refused to give their blessings to the relationship, citing historical happenings between both nations as the reason for not accepting Chuks. The series of events that play out test the love and marriage of the young couple in the most hilarious and unexpected ways.
This is the second feature movie from Desamour Company Limited after the 2012 box office success, ‘Contract’.
The movie was released earlier in 2016 and has already enjoyed box office success in Ghana.
The Nigerian premiere held on Saturday, June 4, in Lagos, but Film One Distribution Company will be take it to cinemas across the country from June 10.
