Everything looks up for popular Nollywood diva and model, Stephanie Linus.
The thespian and philanthropist, along with her hubby, will in a few days time be guests at the Burkingham Palace, as they have been invited personally by the Queen of England for a dinner.
The queen would be hosting young leaders across the commonwealth nations.
Stephanie took to social media sites Instagram and Google+ to share her joy with fans as she posted a copy of the invitation.
“Hubby and I are heading to London to meet her majesty the Queen- how awesome is that.#QueensYoungLeaders. Shout out to all the amazing young people across the CommonWealth Nations that were selected to receive an award,” she posted on Google+ on Monday afternoon.
Born Stephanie Onyekachi Okereke, the actress, movie director and model, has received several awards and nominations for her work as an actress, including the 2003 Reel Award for Best Actress; the 2006 Afro Hollywood Award for Best Actress; and three nominations for Best Actress in a Leading Role at the Africa Movie Academy Awards in 2005, 2009 and 2010.
She was also the runner up for the Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria beauty pageant of 2002.
In 2011, she was honoured by the Nigerian government with a hational honour, Member of the Order of the Federal Republic, MFR.
Stephanie was married to a former Super Eagles football player, Chikelue Iloenyosi from 2004-2007, a marriage which a high court in Lagos declared null and void in 2012 after a long legal battle, because at the time they got married, Chikelue was already legally married to another woman in the US.
In April 2012, Okereke married Linus Idahosa in Paris, France, at a private wedding ceremony that was attended by members of her family and scores of Nollywood actresses and actors.
Her doggedness and ‘never give up’ attitude has continued to inspire her fans.
For instance, in April 2005, on her way to the African Movie Academy Awards held in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, Stephanie was involved in a serious car accident that left her with burns all over and a broken leg. But despite the obvious setback, the actress upon recovery went straight back into acting.
