Enugu Rangers have declared total war on Enyimba ahead today’s ‘Oriental Derby’ in Enugu, which will mark the end of the first round of the Nigeria league.
‘The Flying Antelope’ say they are fired up to win at home following a draw at Bayelsa United in midweek.
“We know Enyimba are a very good side. We know they are an experienced side with some good players. And I agree that it would be a very difficult game,” declared Rangers coach Imama Amapakabo.
“But if you have been following our progress in the last four league games, you would agree with me that we have the quality to match any team.“And considering that we just returned from an away game with a draw, I can tell you that my boys are fired up for a do or die game against Enyimba. I am looking forward to our final three points before the mid-season break.”
Striker Razak Adegbite and Senegalese defender Pape Ousmane Sane missed the game against Bayelsa United, but have been declared fit for Sunday’s showdown.
However, Onorode Odah is still nursing a muscle injury and has been given a week’s break.
Rangers are presently seventh on the table with 27 points from 18 matches.
