EXECUTIVE Director of the National Primary Health Care Development Agency, NPHCDA, Mrs. Nnena Ihezebor has commended Nasarawa state government for effective management of Primary Health Care, PHC facilities in the state.
She noted that the state was far ahead of other states in the management of primary health care in the country.
Nnena made the remark when she paid a courtesy visit to the state governor, Umaru Tanko Al-Makura at the Government House in Lafia recently.
The Executive Director, who commended the state government for centralizing primary health care services in the state, noted that the measure would further enhance quality health care delivery at the PHC level.
She maintained that the agency was quite impress about the results coming from the state and urged the state government to continue with its initiative as it would better the lots of the people of the state.
Responding, governor Umaru Tanko Al-Makura, thanked the agency for the visit, disclosing that the state government had set up a technical team with the mandate of meeting on monthly basis to review the activities of the agency.
He assured that the state government would soon upgrade existing structures at PHC across the state and establish more for enhanced health care delivery services at the grassroots level.
