“Even the Minister asked other Directors and their Deputies to support him because he is the right man for job due to his wealth of experience, having been within the system for a long time.
While the handover from Hon Elegbeleye has been delayed, the former NSC DG was said to have stayed put, insisting that he has not been officially served any redeployment letter.
When Nigerian Pilot Sports visited Sports Commission, neither Hon Elegbeleye nor Alhaji Yakmut was met on seat though the later was said to have stepped out as at the time of compiling this report.
This newspaper reported that the former DG was ousted following frosty relationship which existed between him and Sports Minister.
Beginning with the impasse concerning who emerge as Super Eagles Coach to who replaces retired Dr Bolaji Ojo-Oba as Director Elite Sports Department, Hon Elegbeleye is alleged to have opposed the interest of powers that be at the Presidency.
