THE market capitalisation of the Nigerian Stock Exchange closed on a negative note yesterday as NSE ASI depreciated by 2.59% to close at 29,909.44basis points, compared with the 0.15% depreciation recorded previously. Its Year-to-Date (YTD) returns currently stands at -13.70%
Market breadth closed negative as Transcorp led 7gainers against 41losers topped by Evans Medical at the end of yesterday’s session- an unimproved performance when compared with previous outlook.
Market turnover closes positive as volume moved up by 151.95% against 38.17% decline recorded in the previous session. Access bank, Transcorp and FBNH were the most active to boost market turnover. Access bank and WAPCO top market value list.
