Nigerian equities market closed on a positive note yesterday, as NSE ASI appreciated by 0.99% to close at 27,028.24basis points, compared with the 0.41% depreciation recorded previously. Its Year-to-Date (YTD) returns currently stands at -5.64%.
Market breadth closed positive as FCMB led 33gainers against 17losers topped by NCR at the end of yesterday’s session- an improved performance when compared with previous outlook.
Market turnover closes negative as volume declined by 25.64% against 69.38% uptick recorded in the previous session. FBNH, Diamond Bank and Continental Insurance were the most active to boost market turnover. GTB and Zenith Bank top market value list.
Continental Insurance leads the list of active stocks that recorded impressive volume spike at the end of yesterday’s session.
