Director General, National Youth Service Corps, Brigadier General J. B. Olawumi has described Governor Muhammad Abubakar of Bauchi State as a governor who had demonstrated unequal commitment and penchant for the development of his state.
The remark was made by the DG in a letter he sent to the governor recently, saying the effort of the governor was through commitment to matters affecting youth and future of the nation in the face of dwindling resources owing to the decline in oil prices.
Brigadier Olawumi commended the governor for his numerous contributions to the success of the NYSC scheme in the state since assumption of office in May this year.
“Among the efforts of the governor was the outstanding allowances to the 2014 batch ‘C’ Corps members, provision of adequate funds for feeding and engagement of extra security personnel during 2015 ‘B’ course, donation of cows as well as the approval for the use of the Institute of Education Kangere for the orientation exercise,” he said.
He pointed out that based on these efforts, the governor had demonstrated very sterling leadership traits of benevolence, vision, love and penchant for the development of Bauchi State.
