“Nolly Thursdays” which has been described as the newIndustry Night” for the Nigerian film industry held yesterday 23 June, at the Genesis Deluxe Cinemas.
This edition was headlined by OC Ukeje and cast of “North East” including Ini Dima-Okojie, Gbenga Titiloye, Carol King, Saeed Funky Mallam, Tope Sadiq, Alex Ayalogu, and Capital F.E.M.I. OC Ukeje is a Nigerian actor, model and musician. He came into prominence after winning the Amstel Malta Box Office reality show. His first screen appearance was in “White Waters.”
He also featured in “Black November” by Jeta Amata, and was cast in the award winning South African movie “Ayanda.”
“North East” tells the story of an Igbo Christian physiotherapist, who embarks on a romantic relationship with one of his patients, who is a Muslim. He faces vehement opposition on the basis of religion and tribe from her father.
