In response to the issue of inadequate medical staff in the state tertiary and secondary health facilities Ogun State Government has reassured of its recruitment plans so as to make their work easier and less tedious.
The permanent Secretary, Hospitals Management Board, Pharm. Modupe Olurin made this known during the official opening of surgical and medical outpatient clinic constructed at the State Hospital, Ijebu-Ode.
She further said that the government is committed to providing a working environment to enhance productivity which is one of the reasons it conducted d interview to employ more qualified personnel
Pharmacist Olurin commended the initiative of the Hospital Management Trustee on the befitting outpatient clinic saying it will improve the services in the hospital and provide patients a more relaxing place while waiting to be attended to.
She encourage other tertiary and secondary health facilities to engage in self-help projects while assuring that her Board would not hesitate in giving necessary support that could enhance development of the hospital.
In his speech, the Chairman of Ijebu-Ode hospital Management Committee, Oba Aladekan Osunsanmi of Oke- Akan thanked sons and daughters of Ijebu who had contributed to the development of health sector in the state.
He cited the Iye-Subomi child care centre, Ward Yemi maternity centre as some of the noticeable contribution from philanthropic indigenous sons and daughters while appealing to other well meaning members of the society to help give the hospital a face lift.
