Former Super Eagles Captain Austin Okocha has applauded Arsenal Coach Arsene Wenger on how he is gradually turning the youngsters in his team to world-class stars.
Okocha is particularly over the heels with the performance of his nephew Alex Iwobi who shone like a million stars in his Emirates debut on Saturday.
Iwobi scored in the 6-0 drubbing of Lyon at the Emirates and Okocha was full of praises for Wenger for the obvious improvement in his nephew.
“My Nephew Alex Iwobi marked his Emirate’s debut with a goal.. Great stuff Alex.. Wenger is really doing a great job with the young star.” Okocha wrote on his twitter handle.
The current Delta FA boss also spared some thought for Chuba Akpom who also hit the headlines with his performance with the Gunners during their Singapore tour.
“Chuba Akpom whose dad is a good friend of mine is also on the right course..a heart trick in their Asian trip says a lot about what to come” Okocha submitted.
Already Wenger has promised to keep Akpom for the new season even though he added a caveat that the striker must continue to work hard.
