Imo State governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha has commiserated with the Governor of Bayelsa State, Chief Henry Seriake Dickson over the death of his beloved mother, Mrs. Goldcoast Dickson who died at the age of 72.

The governor, in a press statement issued yesterday in Owerri by Sam Onwuemeodo, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, said he had received the sad news with disbelief and shock.

Okorocha who noted that though the death of a beloved mother could be very painful and devastating, urged Governor Dickson and all those the mother left behind to mourn her to bear the loss with fortitude as Christians, “believing that one day they shall meet again to part no more.”

He described the late Mrs. Dickson as a blessing to the society especially to the people of Bayelsa State having given birth to a son who is today governing the State.

The governor prays God to grant Governor Dickson and other members of his family and all Bayelsans the strength of heart to bear this irreparable loss, and also grant soul of the deceased eternal rest in His bossom.

He further urged him to accept the condolences and prayers of the governor, the government and good people of the state during this trying moment.
