Governor of Imo State and chairman of the Progressive Governors’ Forum, PGF, Owelle Rochas Okorocha has congratulated the APC candidate and indeed the governor-elect in the Edo State governorship election, Mr. Godwin Obaseki on his convincing victory in the poll.
The Governor in a statement issued yesterday in Owerri by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Sam Onwuemeodo observed that the margin with which the APC candidate won the election, was an obvious indication that Edo people had refused to go back to Egypt, and decided that the progressive light lit by the Adam Oshiomhole administration in the state should remain aglow.
Okorocha also congratulated Governor Oshiomhole for doing a good job in Edo State which made the victory of Mr. Obaseki in the election possible.
He also commended the people of Edo State for endorsing progressive governance and also allying with a progressive party, APC, and urged other Nigerians still believing the propaganda of the opposition to follow the Edo example.
Governor Okorocha also eulogized INEC for doing a good job in the Edo governorship election.
