Imo state Governor, Rochas Okorocha, has debunked allegation by the Governor-elect. Emeka Ihedioha, that he had already withdrawn N17 billion from the State treasury.

The incumbent Governor, who described the allegation as unfounded, stated that Ihedioha of the Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP lacks the capacity to lead Imo state.

The Governor-elect, however vowed to recover all properties acquired illegally by Governor Okorocha.

Governor Okorocha, while reacting in a press statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Sam Onwuemeodo, stated that Ihedioha should also know that with the level of achievement so far in the State by Okorocha administration, the people of Imo state will not entertain any excuse from him.

He said, “Blackmail or propaganda, which the Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP invested heavily in, during the 12 years they govern the state have become old-fashioned and will no longer work in the state.

It has been reported that Ihedioha had given directives to financial institutions in the State against further transactions with the Okorocha-led government.
