On loan Chelsea defender Kenneth Omeruo has told fcnaija.com he will consider staying at Kasimpasa if they qualify for next season’s Europa League.
The 22-year old is on loan at Kasimpasa from Chelsea and the Turkish side are eighth on the Super Lig table with three rounds of matches to go.
He is expected to return to England in the summer, and while the Turkish club has reportedly said they do not have the financial muscle to sign him permanently, he however says he will consider staying with Kasimpasa if they get a Europa League ticket.
“It’s still early to make decisions (about my future) but if we qualify for the Europa League, I would consider it,” he told fcnaija.com.
Speaking further, the Nigeria international said he has been enjoying his football in Turkey and while he is yet undecided on his future, he would like to play in the Europa League with Kasimpasa so his fans especially in Nigeria can see him play for his club.
“I am enjoying my football right now and hopefully we will make it to the Europa league so at least my fans all over the world especially Nigeria, can watch me play for my club side,” he stated.
Omeruo will miss the Rio Olympic Games after pulling out on doctor’s advice, but will be available for Nigeria’s friendly games against Mali and Luxembourg.
