Four candidates of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Ondo State, who lost in the National Assembly elections in the state, have filled petitions before the Election Petitions Tribunal that will sit in the state.
Out of the petitions submitted so far, three are for the House of Representatives while one is for the Senate.
Secretary to the Tribunal, Barrister Jemilu Bako disclosed this to newsmen recently in Akure, the state capital.
Barrister Bako explained that there will be sitting on Monday for motion exparte where there will be discussion on petitions filed before the petition tribunal.
He said the candidates of the APC, who lost during the election in the state, filed all all the petitions submitted so far.
They are Olabamide Olanubi, Ondo East/West Federal Constituency, Lucky Ayedatiwa, Ilaje/Ese-Odo and Victor Olawole Akinmoyero Okitipupa/Irele federal constituencies are challenging the victory of candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in their various federal constituencies.
Morayo Lebi of the APC who lost the Ondo Southern Senatorial seat is also challenging the victory of Pastor Yele Omogunwa of the PDP, who was declared by INEC as winner of the Ondo South.
It will be recalled that the APC candidates won two out of the three senatorial seats in the Ondo North and Ondo Central Districts.
The APC also won five of the nine House of Representatives while the PDP won four of the federal constituencies.
