Opposition political parties in Ebonyi State under the aegis of Inter Advisory Party Committee, IPAC, yesterday appealed to Governor Dave Umahi to carry them along in the scheme of things.
The group, who made the call during a courtesy visit on the Special Adviser to the Governor on Inter-Party Dialogue, Onwe Gideon at the Government House Abakaliki, pledged their loyalty to the governor’s administration.

Comrade Obyia who is the state chairman of Labour Party, LP, noted that the Inter-party Advisory Committee was not created to pull down any government in power but to assist in transforming the state, adding that if the government did not deliver on the campaign promises the blame will be on everybody and not only the government.
He therefore assured that the committee will partner with the present administration in the state to enable it succeed.
He commended Governor Umahi for the display of sportsmanship by not discriminating in his appointments and urged him to do more by including members of different political parties in the state in subsequent ones.
Responding, the Special Adviser told the party leaders that the present government in the state was for everybody irrespective of political affiliation.
He said Governor Umahi needs men and women of proven integrity, which was why he appointed APGA senatorial candidate in the last general election, Prof. Benard Odoh, Secretary to the State Government.
He implored them to come up with positive ideas that would help in transforming the state as the state is in a hurry to develop.
