Deputy Governor of Benue State, Benson Abounu had disclosed that the Ortom led administration would do everything possible to stop all forms of marginaliztion in the state
Addressing political groups from Ijigbanu, Ulayi and Ekile (Ari) from Ado local government of the state in his office in Makurdi, the state capital at the weekend, Abonun said the government would be guided by balanced decision regarding appointments of people from the different geopolitical parts of the state.
Abounu also said that the Ortom led government would encourage leadership of unity and purpose with clear sense of direction that would portray the focus of APC and people’s aspiration.
He however regretted the situation where party leaders submit several names instead of one for political appointment, particularly caretaker committees.
The deputy governor warned that the era of undue manipulations and monopoly of government machinery by few individuals has become a thing of the past as that would not be tolerated by the present government.
He reiterated the determination of the government to consign itself to issues concerning payment of workers’ salaries to enable it settle down and deliver dividends of democracy.
