Lowa Adimula of Ile-Ife, High
Chief Adekola Adeyeye has
declared that adequate peace,
love and prayer were the only
antidote to the development of
Nigeria.
Chief Adeyeye made this
observation yesterday at his 62nd
birthday ceremony in Ile-Ife,
stressing that Nigeria presently
needed prayers, peace and
complete love among its citizens
to survive.
Adeyeye, who is also the
Jaran of the Source, lauded the
steps taking by Ooni Adeyeye
Ogunwusi at ensuring peace and
tranquillity among the Yorubas.
The community leader, who
described the call by the Ooni
to all Obas in Yoruba speaking
communities to be one family
as commendable, emphasised
that Nigeria as a nation should
emulate the Oba.
“There is adequate hope for
us in Nigeria if we are ready
to submit to our Creator by
confessing our sins, love each
other and pray unto Him.”
Adeyeye, who was highly
elated for witnessing his 62nd
birthday, noted that he had
everything to glorify God for
sparing his life.
The Ile-Ife chief also used the occasion to call on residents
of the town to continue to
demonstrate unflinching
support and cooperation to
the Ooni in order to continue
witnessing developments in
the area.
He also appreciated the
outpouring of goodwill from
the people, saying he would
not relent in contributing his
quota to the development of
the entire Ile-Ife.
