- Becomes first US woman to run for President
Ahead of Presidential poll to be held later this year, Hillary Clinton on Tuesday night wrote a new page in the United State’s history as she became the first woman to win the popular vote in a major party’s primary.
The democrat flag bearer achieved what many saw as nation’s ‘highest, hardest glass ceiling.’
Meanwhile Clinton counter Bernie Sanders chose to be hard on himself and refused to concede the race to Clinton, even after losing the important California primary on Tuesday.
However, Wednesday morning, the race was declared in favour of the former US First Lady.
