PSC redeploys promotes AIGS, 37 CPS

Three youths were yesterday killed by security operatives in Bokkos local government Area of Plateau state while attempting to lynch the Ardo (Fulani) leader of the community.
This development has led to declaration of a dusk till dawn curfew in Bokkos by security operatives and the state government.
There had been tension in the community since on Monday after the paramount ruler of Bokkos local government, Laazarus Agai, The Saf Ron Kulere, was killed by unknown gunmen.
The first class ruler of the locality was killed alongside his driver and his personal aid whose names cannot be immediately ascertained.
Our correspondent gathered that the youths who had come out for a protest started having confrontations with security agents.
The anger and condemnation that has trailed the assassination of the monarch has led to tension and apprehension in the Local government , with accusations and counter accusations. however the state government has appealed for calm, promising that the security agents are on the heels of the assassins.
Spokesman of the Operation Safe Haven OPSH , deployed to restore law and order in the state Captain Ikedechi Iweha who spoke to our correspondent in Jos said” following the unfortunate killing of the traditional ruler by unknown gunmen , some irate youths hijacked the situation and have been disturbing the peace in the LGA “.
In his words “ some youths on Thursday blocked the roads leading to Bokkos and started burning tyres and harassing innocent citizens. “ The situation got out of hand when the youths attempted to lynch the Ardo of Bokkos but security operatives swiftly came to the rescue of the Ardo and other innocent citizens and it was in the process that some of the youths opened fire on the security operatives ,this development prompted the security operatives to fire into the air to disperse the youths and in the process three of the youths lost their lives while some security operatives sustained various degrees of injuries “.
Iweha also confirmed to newsmen that “Twenty four hour curfew has been imposed on Bokkos local government following the breakdown of law and order in the affected council on Thursday”.
It could be recalled that Gov Simon Lalong had appealed to citizens particularly residents of Bokkos Local Government to remain calm and not to engage in any act that is capable of aggravating the situation, but should rather volunteer all necessary information that will aid investigation to security operatives “.
Meanwhile Chairman Christian Association of Nigeria in 19 Northern states and the Federal capital territory Abuja Rev Yakubu Pam , has condemned the gruesome murder of a Plateau Monarch Lazarua Agai, the Ron Kulere of Bokkos Local government of Plateau ,describing the action of his murderers as devilish that should be condemned by all lovers of peace.
Rev Pam in a statement issued to newsmen in Jos yesterday noted with pain the sad news of the killing of a devoted Christian monarch in Plateau state just barely few weeks after another traditional ruler was murdered in the same locality .
According to him , the sudden death of of Bokkos Monarch Lazarua Agai in the hands of merchant of death should be treated as a wakeup call to security agents to carry out full investigation to fish out the perpetrators of the evil act and bring them to justice.
He wondered how a monarch who was returning from his farm in Sha village and security aide could be murdered in cold blood by yet to be identified gun men .
Rev Pam called on President Buhari to give marching order to security agencies in the country to bring to an end the on going killing of innocent Nigerians in parts of the North , insisting that the perpetrators of this evil acts must be fished out and punished .
