Plateau State Governor, Simon Lalong, said the state government would investigate the circumstances that led to the collapse of Abu Naima Primary and Secondary School building in Bukuru, Jos South Local Government Area, which killed 10 children on Sunday evening.
Governor Lalong disclosed this when he visited the site of the building collapse.
He said the safety of children will be taken seriously to prevent a recurrence.
Our correspondent observed that part of the collapsed building poses a great danger to the people if it is not pulled down.
Media aide to former governor Jonah Jang, Chris Gyang, in a text message sent to our correspondent, said I am consulting the senator and his wife who are currently out of the country and will respond appropriately in due course.
