Plateau speaker sues for synergy among Political office holders

Speaker, Plateau State House of Assembly, Abok Ayuba, has sued for synergy among political office holders from Plateau at the Federal and State levels for the development of the State and its people.

A statement sign by Bulus Atang, his Chief Press Secretary and made available to newsmen in Jos reads that he made the call during separate congratulatory visits to the Executive Secretary, Agricultural Research Council of Nigeria, Professor Garba Sharubutu and Federal Commissioner representing Plateau, Nasarawa and Benue States at the Federal Civil Service Commission, Doctor Jonah Madugu both in Abuja.

Speaking separately during the visits, Abok lauded President Muhammadu Buhari for finding the appointees worthy to serve Saying Plateau people would for ever remain grateful to the President for given the State recognition in his administration.

The speaker explained that plateau people are proud of the appointees adding that the whole country will surely feel their positive impact considering their competence, commitment and wealth of experience.

Abok said the Country and Plateau State in particular have numerous challenges in regards to negative impact on agricultural outputs occasioned by incessant attacks, banditary and other forms of insecurity.

He restated the readiness of the State legislative arm to come up with relevant legislations that will encourage farmers in order to boost the agricultural sector as part of efforts in actualising the Federal and State Governments economy policy of diversification with emphasis on agriculture.

Abok emphasis the need for Federal and State political office holders to put behind whatever differences and ensure strong synergy between them in the interest of the people considering enormous developmental challenges facing the Country.

While welcoming the speaker in his office, Professor Garba Sharubutu, extolled the speaker’s grassroot style of representation by constantly engaging with citizens on issues affecting the state and the nation, noting that he is comfortable with the synergy among members of the state Assembly.

He promised not to fail Plateau by justifying confidence reposed on him by the President.

The Speaker later held a closed door meeting with the Federal Commissioner representing Plateau, Nasarawa and Benue States in the Federal Civil Service Commission, Jonah Madugu.
