Kogi state Police Command‎ has arrested about 12 people in the state as a result of post election violence.
Police Public Relations‎ Officer, PPRO, Sola Collins Adebayo made this known while speaking to Nigerian Pilot in Lokoja.
The PPRO noted that the suspects were thugs arrested at Gegu-Beki in Kogi local government for perpetuating post election violence.
According to him, three persons were arrested on election day, stressing that two of the suspects were caught in Ofu local government with ballot papers while the third suspect was caught with firearm and ammunition. ‎
The PPRO implored the people to go about their lawful duties as the police will ensure a peaceful environment, even as he assured the people of police protection of life and property .
