PSC redeploys promotes AIGS, 37 CPS

Bayelsa State Police Command said it foiled an attempted kidnap at expatriates quarters and recovered arms and ammunition at Onopa area of the state.
The State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Asinim Butswat, said “at about 2350hrs, unknown gunmen attacked expatriates quarters at Onopa and opened fire on the security personnel on guard, in an attempt to abduct expatriates.
“Security operatives fired back, the gunmen withdrew and abandoned their assault rifle. They escaped through the waterways in a speedboat. Manhunt for them has been intensified, while investigation is ongoing.”
