Commissioner of Police, CP Abubakar Marafa, while parading the suspects to the newsmen in Minna, the state capital, said the gang had in recent time, made the road unsafe for motorists.
The CP said the command repositioned its intensive vehicular and motorcycle patrols, anti-robbery squad and deployment of highway patrol, which eventually led to arresting the suspects.
Marafa said the police recovered two fabricated AK 47 rifles with 21 rounds of live ammunition, one single barrel gun, one dane gun, 40 arrows, two vehicles and two motorcycles.
The CP also added that cattle rustling and youth turning themselves into gangsters have become a thing of the past while kidnapping and highway robbery are reduced to the barest minimum in the state.
In a related development, the Commissioner further said that in the month of January, the Command also arrested six cattle rustlers and recovered 90 cattle and 10 sheep suspected to be stolen from Kebbi and Zamfara States.
