Police in the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, have reassured foreign nationals resident in the seat of power of adequate security measures aimed at protecting and facilitating a safe and secured atmosphere for their businesses to thrive.
FCT Commissioner of Police, Muhammad Mustafa gave the assurance at the Command Headquarters while playing host to the Charge D’Affaire of the Embassy of the Peoples Republic of China in Nigeria, Mr. Qin Jian.
FCT Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Anjuguri Manzah said in a statement made available to Nigerian Pilot yesterday that CP Mustafa used the occasion to extolled the robust working relationship that existed between the embassy and the FCT Police Command.
Speaking earlier, the Chinese envoy said the visit was to build on the existing partnership between the Chinese Embassy and FCT Police Command, which had been prompt in providing security and protection for its citizens and their businesses in the FCT.
He also reaffirmed that the embassy would continue to collaborate with the command in providing training and logistic support.
Highlight of the visit was the donation of a brand new vehicle to the command by the Chinese embassy.
The Police Commissioner, while receiving the vehicle on behalf of the command, praised the Chinese embassy for its lead role in providing logistic support to the command.
He enjoined other corporate organisations and well-meaning individuals to take a cue from the gesture of the Chinese embassy.
Jian was accompanied on the visit by the Embassy Defence Attaché, Senior Colonel Wang Puin Xu and his assistant, Captain Zhan Su.
