Police nab 3 kidnappers, rescue 4 victims in Kogi

Police in the Federal Capital Territory, FCT-Abuja has urged residents of the territory to imbibe the spirit of self consciousness of happenings around their environments in order to avoid making themselves cheap targets to criminals.
The FCT Commissioner of Police, CP Muhammad Mustafa gave the advice in a statement yesterday enjoining Abuja residents to compliment the efforts of the FCT Police Command in providing security for lives and property by taking serious the issue of their personal safety and security.
CP Mustafa, in a statement by the Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Anjuguri Manzah, reiterated that the Command has evolved proactive security measures that have been resourceful to the recent successes recorded in the fight against crime in the seat of power.
He called on members of the public to collaborate with the Police in providing vital information about criminals and their hibernating spots.
The Abuja police chief further advised residents to guard against parking their vehicles in lonely and secluded places which often serve as easy targets for criminals to freely operate.
He also enjoined motorists to fix tracking devices in their cars and always endeavour to wind up glasses of their cars, especially while driving in areas that witness slow vehicular movement as a result of bumps and traffic lights.
