Commandant General of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Dr. Ade Abolurin has commended his officers and men for their brilliant performance during the presidential and National Assembly elections, as well as the just concluded gubernatorial and Houses of Assembly elections.
The CG in a statement signed by the corps PRO, Emmanuel Okeh, extolled the humility and dedication of every corps personnel and called on them never to relent in their efforts in rendering service to the nation.
Dr. Abolurin urged them not to forget the corps watchword which is ‘Humility and Integrity’ in service delivery.
While noting the presence of the corps in almost all polling units, the CG said he was proud of his personnel and charged all state commands, including the Federal Capital Territory, to re-double their efforts in ensuring zero tolerance for corruption.
He also congratulated President Goodluck Jonathan for spearheading a ‘one man, one vote’ for the first time since 1999, as well as the president-elect, General Mohammed Buhari and all other Nigerians for a peaceful conduct of free, fair and non-violence elections.
Abolurin reiterated that for the interest of peace, political parties, political gladiators and the various contestants should emulate the quality and virtue of President Jonathan by conceding defeat instead of encouraging supporters to foment trouble and disrupt the peace of the nation and the democratic process.
