Woziri Nupe, Sen Isa Mohammed has appealed to Muslims Faithfull in the country to use the period of Eld-El-Kabir to pray fervently to seek God’s intervention in the socio-economic crisis facing the country.

Mohammed, holding brief for the Etsu Nupe, Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar, who is the Amirul Hajj for this year’s pilgrimage, stated this in Wadata Palace, Bida, Niger State on Wednesday when traditional title holders paid him Sallah homage.

According Woziri Nupe, “Nigerians should set aside some time to reflect on the state of the nation and pray for a way out of the prevailing security challenges in some parts of the country and economic problems that has brought recession”.

The traditional title holder expressed optimism that with the support and prayers of Nigerians, the challenges facing the country would soon be over.

He called for ceaseless prayers for president Buhari; both elected and appointed leaders in the country, to succeed in piloting the country’s affairs.

Mohammed, a former senator, also urged Nigerians to show more love to one and another and eschew violence for the country to move forward.

The traditional title holder also advised the people to continue to live together in peace and harmony irrespective of their tribal and religious affiliations, saying that nothing should be allowed to jeopardise the existing peace in the area, state and the country at large.
He also urged religious leaders to continue to pray for peace, unity and progress of the country.

He said sustained prayers would allow the nation to overcome the devilish acts threatening the peaceful coexistence of Nigeria.
While congratulating Muslims for witnessing another Sallah, the former lawmaker urged them to emulate Prophet Muhammad by simplicity and moderation
He also advised Muslims to use the period to reflect on the life and times of prophet Muhammad (SWA) as a perfect gift to humanity.

He also appealed to the people of his domain, the state and entire Nigerians to continue to live in peace with one another, adding that, “we should continue to be our brother’s keepers

Mohammed however urged political office holders to always abide by oath of office and should endeavour to fulfill their campaign promises to the people.

“They should always remember that they have either sworn with Holy Qur’an or Holy Bible, as such they should not renege as they would surely account for all their actions, how they spend every kobo entrusted in their hands on the day of reckoning”, he said.

Woziri Nupe enjoined the people to respect constituted authorities, and as well called on parents to accord priority to education of their children.

According to him, “education is the life wire for any development, and it is through education that all kind of professionals can be produced”.

The former lawmaker also cautioned preachers against provocative sermons capable of inciting the public against each other.
“Religious preaching’s should be targeted at maintaining harmonious relationship among the people and nothing should be done to divide the people”, Woziri Nupe added.

Woziri Nupe reminded the clerics of their roles as representatives of the God Almighty, saying, that they should always be shining examples both in words and in deeds.
