Two-time governorship candidate in Edo State and outgoing National President of Petroleum Training Institute, PTI, National Alumni Association, Chief Solomon Edebiri has called on the newly elected executive body of PTI alumni to reach out to all graduands of the institution towards contributing to the development of the school.
Edebiri, who is also President of the Nigerian Institute of Welding and West African Welding Federation, made the call weekend while administering oath of office for the newly elected national executive members of the association at the PTI conference centre, Effurun, Delta State.
He stated that under his leadership, the association contributed to the development of the institution, especially partnering with school management towards uplifting the academic standard and infrastructural development of PTI as a specialised skill training institute in the country.
Edebiri said it would be ungrateful for those who have passed through the institute not to return and make their impact felt, urging the new executive members to reach out to all members and unite them across the country for the interest of the school.
“It’s very important that we reach out to all alumni to come back and contribute to the development of the institution. PTI is our pride and it must be collectively guided to attain its full potential as a specialized institution in the country. Let’s partner the school management to produce the manpower that will man the nation’s oil and gas industry”, he stated.
