Leadership of pro-Biafra group, Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has foretold more woes that would befall Nigeria as a nation apart from the present recession.
The organisation in a statement signed by its spokesman, Emma Powerful, disclosed that their leader, Nnamdi Kanu saw the economic hardship coming and said it but was misconstrued.
The organisation, in the statement expressed happiness that President Buhari has at last agreed with the IPOB prophesy that more hardship will befall the nation but pointed out that the hardship and the famine are as a result of the arrest and detention of their leader, Nnamdi Kanu.
“The indigenous people of Biafra IPOB worldwide with the directorate of State DOS agreed with the president of Nigeria Gen Muhammad Bahari about the statement credited to him concerning the hardship and famine about to befall on Nigerians from 2017.
“The statements was well agreed because Nigerians and the government of Muhammadu Buhari do not know why all these calamities are happening on the people and the country Nigeria.
“The leader of the indigenous people of Biafra IPOB the director radio and Biafra television the prophet of our time mazi Nnamdi Kanu prophesied all that is about to befall Nigerians and their government,” the organisation posits.
“The federal government led by Buhari should understand that the leader of IPOB prophet Nnamdi Kanu prophesied all these calamities during his broadcast on the radio Biafra.
“He said that Somalia will be better off than Nigeria when it will come but some people thought he was coming with bullets and other explosives and they arrested him. The God Almighty (Chukwu Okike Abiama) the God of Biafrans became so much annoyed when the present government took it upon themselves to detain the prophet mazi Nnamdi Kanu. God Almighty started releasing the hardship and calamities one after the other and now it is the time for famines which the president confirmed and notified the citizens of Nigeria on the coming wrath of God,” the organisation insists.
