A passionate appeal has gone to both the people of Osun State and its workforce not to lose they confidence reposed in Governor Rauf Aregbesola.
A member of the House of Representatives representing Ijesa South Federal Constituency, Hon. Ajibola Israel Famurewa, made the appeal on Saturday during a media chat he organised at his Ilesa country Home.
Famurewa enjoined people of the state to bear with the government as the ongoing workers’ issues would be a thing of the past, adding that: “It is this Aregbesola-led administration paying salary and wages as at when due before the diminishing of monthly allocation from the Federal Government, so, it is a matter of time.”
He added that “although, I am not happy with the ugly situation workers in the state are passing through, but it has happened and the best thing for us is to be prayerful and look for the solutions.
Also, Osun is not only the state owing its workforce, in fact, there are some states owing their workers more than Osun do and all is well with them.
“The All Progressives Congress, APC government in the state under the leadership of Governor Rauf Aregbesola would continue to make life bearable for the people and ensure that the existing peace and tranquillity remain,” Famurewa said.
The lawmaker appreciateed the unflinching support of the people of the area with an assurance that, what he was able to do during the 7th National Assembly was just a preamble as he is going to do more towards the betterment in terms of sharing of dividends of democracy.
“I appreciate the good people of Ijesa South Federal constituency for the confidence reposed in me. I promise to represent you well in the ongoing 8th assembly while my representation will continue to be meaningful to you all in all ramifications”, the Lawmaker added.
