Respect culture of host communities, Gov Masari charges Corp members

Katsina State Governor, Alhaji Aminu Bello Masari has charged corp members posted to the state to abide by the laws of the land and respect culture and tradition of host communities.

Masari gave the charge yesterday at the closing ceremony of 2018 Batch B stream II Corp members held at state NYSC orientation camp.

“As soon as you move into locality you are posted, adjust quickly and begin to enjoy their warm reception and good neighbourliness” he said.

“I assure you, if you cherish and love members of your host communities, they would invariably take you as their children” he emphasized.

Masari represented by Special Adviser on Youth, Alhaji Ibrahim Khaleel assured them that his administration will provide an enabling environment for the success of their national assignment in the state.

“I enjoin you to make your names indelible by executing projects that would impact positively to the communities” he said

Masari assured them that his administration will reward any Corp Member who embarked on individual community development project.

Earlier, NYSC Coordinator in the state, Mr Ramatu Sanda said about 1,745 Corp Members both for Katsina and Zamfara states participated in the orientation programme.

Mrs Sanda said the Corp members were posted to serve in the key sectors such as agriculture, education health and infrastructure.

She commended Katsina State Governor for allowing the Corp Members to perform their in-camp training and practical at Katsina youth Craft centre.
