Barely a week after a ritualists den was discovered in Mile II area of Abeokuta North of Ogun State, another body of a 23 year-old lady, identified as Sitira, was yesterday found at a refuse site at Olomore junction of Abeokuta.
The body was said to have been dumped by suspected ritualist as she was reported to have been seen last on Saturday night before the unfortunate incident happened.
It was learnt that the deceased and her friend, whose body had not been found, were thrown off in a moving jeep ‎at the site located along old Lagos-Abeokuta expressway.
‎Items found at the refuse site were ladies underwears, powder, lipsticks, nail polish among others.
The severed body of the victim was found some 500 meters away from where the items were discovered, while a close look suggested that her right arm has been severed by cutting away some flesh of the victim.
A relative of the victim, who identified herself as Esther Adewuyi, said the deceased had been living with her mother at Iberekodo area of the town since she lost her child some years back.
Adewuyi said her last discussion with Sitira was on the preparation for her “freedom” as a hairdresser apprentice last Saturday, adding that no one in her household knew when she went out.
Her remains were taken away by policemen attached to Lafenwa Divisional Police Headquarters.
When contacted, the State Police Public Relations Officer, Prince Muyiwa Adejobi confirmed the incident, saying the Command had since commenced investigation into the matter.
