Independent National Electoral Commission INEC Rivers State, will conduct the House of Assembly election today, in the constituencies, where election wwere declared inconclusive, due to alleged violence or electoral misconduct.
The rescheduled date was made public in a statement signed by the Resident Electoral Commissioner REC Dame Gesila, and made available to newsmen.
According to the commission, the affected constituencies include; Emuoha (all the council wards), Opobo/Nkoro (wards 1-2, 7-11) and Ahoada East One Constituency (wards 1-4 & 11-13). Others include Ahoada East two Constituency (wards 5-10), Etche one Constituency (wards 10, 12, & 17-19), as well as Etche two Constituency (ward 1,7-8, 13 & 15).
It will be recalled that the Governorship and House of Assembly elections held on April 11, in the state in those areas were declared inconclusive due to failure of election processes in those areas to meet with the rules and regulations of the commission.
