Rotary club District 9125, Asokoro, Abuja will today inaugurate Dr. Mike Omotosho as Governor.
His tenure will run for one year.
Dr. Omotosho is a pharmacist and progressive consultant with broad-based experience in the health sector.
Known to have consistently extended kind gestures in different empowerment programmes to Nigerians, through Mike Omotosho Foundation, ‘’Sustainable Health International’’SHI, where he currently serves as Chief Oversight Officer, he is also involved in sundry humanitarian activities.
SHI has significantly contributed to the widespread distribution of sustainable healthcare delivery especially in areas as reversing Malaria, Pneumonia, and HIV/AIDS.
The outfit has impacted no less than 2,500 Nigerians.
A former Labour party gubernatorial candidate in Kwara state in the last general elections, the new Asokoro district governor will leverage on the vision of past Rotary leaders while he focuses on: community development, increase the number of clubs and membership across the district as well as contributions to the foundation.
Other areas of interests, include a Rotary Centre as well as leaving a legacy of the Rotary House.
The theme of this year’s Rotary outing is ‘Be a Gift to the World”
According to him, “In our country today change has come and if this change would be allowed, Nigeria will thrive, children will grow in safety, get good education and improve their lives, potable water would be available and everyone will be better for it” he said.
